Class Details

COST: $250 for 4 weeks, plus the cost of your fabric and notion for your project

Following on for the beginners course, the next step in your sewing journey is our intermediate class, in this class we start with a zipper pouch, just a fun project to start us off, a way to get to know each other and also chat about your upcoming projects.
You also get an introduction to sewing zippers, then for the next three weeks you get to choose your own project and I will be there every step of the way to help you find your pattern, cut, sew and fit your garment.
If you are a confident beginner sewer already and want to join us for the intermediate class you are also most welcome.

Project One:

Zipper Pouch

These zipper pouches are so much fun to make, first we pick our colour combos then we cut, after that we start sewing the outers and attaching a zipper.
Lining happens next with some clever bagging out to create a beautiful pouch for storing all sorts of goodies

YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to cut out your pouch including the lining and fusings required

• How to construct the outers

• How to attach a zip

• How to sew seams & finish insides

Project Two:

Your chosen project

The last three weeks of this class you get to pick your own project to sew.
If you need a hand in deciding what to make I am more than happy to help you pick something suitable

• How to cut out your pattern to size

• How to lay and cut your fabric

• How to read and follow along with your pattern instructions

• How to sew your garment

• Basic fitting tips
