Class Details

COST: $200 for 4 weeks, plus the cost of the Hoodie dress fabric.

Classes are designed for kids 8yr+ who have completed the kids beginners class.

We have two fun projects to make over the 4 weeks, a sweatshirt hoodie dress, and a quilted zipper pouch
Both of these projects are the next step from the beginners class, sewing with stretch knits and sewing in zippers.
Both projects are a challenge for kids wanting to advance their sewing skills.

This is a Confident Beginners Sewist

Project One:

Sweatshirt Hooded Dress

Perfect for coller months, this sweatshirt hooded dress is a must have for kids.
Learn how to sew knit fabric on the plain sewer
This dress has a hood, kangeroo front pocket, cuffs and side splits that we will finish with tape, so lots of exciting new skills to learn.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to sew knit seams & finish insides

• How to sew seams using correct seam allowances

• How to edge stitching and topstitch

• How to finish edges with a zig zag

Project Two:

Quilted Zipper Pouch

These zipper pouches are so much fun to make, first we pick our colour combos then we cut, after that we quilt the outers and then construct the pouch adding a zipper as we go.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to cut out your pouch including the lining and fusings required

• How to construct the outers

• How to quilt the Outer

• How to attach a zip

• How to sew seams & finish insides
