Open Sew Class

  • The Stitchery 10 Tussock Lane Canterbury, 8023 New Zealand (map)

Looking for something to do this winter on a Friday night?

Come join me at The Stitchery for Friday night Open Sew Classes

How do Open Sew Classes work?

This is a nice social class at the end of a busy week where we get together with our sewing projects and share a drink (alcoholic or non alcoholic on offer) and some nibbles.

Come along and bring a sewing project that you want to start or have already started.

Maybe you are stuck on a certain part and need some help or you just want to have a space to spread out.

Any project is welcome big or small, book a machine for an hour or for the entire 6 weeks, that's up to you.

I will be there to help you if you need any sewing or fitting advice.

During your booked time, you have the use of the following

  • sewing machines - we have 6 in the studio

  • overlockers - get that professional finish on your garment or have a go at making knit garment. We have 2 overlockers available

  • coverseamer - always wanted to try hemming your garments on a coverseamer? We have 1 machine available

  • cutting table - just need to spread out to cut out your next project

  • Irons & ironing boards are also there to use.

Costs: $20 per hour with a 1 hour min charge

Concession card, purchase 5 open sew classes and get the 6th class free

(Valid for 12mths, so you can choose when to join us)

Come along, possibly meet some other like minded amazing sewing people.

What else do you have to do on a Friday night ?

See Terms and Conditions here

The Stitchery is operating as a vaccine mandated business, you will need to be vaccinated to attend any of our classes
